Conditions were the best I've heard in at least 6-7 weeks,
and the turnout reflected it.
We heard from:
W9HQ and KC9JTL (father/son) EN43 S5 peaks
W9RPM EN43 S9
W0FAY EN42 S9
N0IRS EM29 S2
N9LOH EN53 S1 with vertical.
K0NY EN44 S9
KB9RYI EN42 S0 with vertical, about 60% copy
KC9CSQ EN42 S1
KB9KTD EN43 S3
W9UUM EN43 S5
W0GHZ EN34 S2
W9PBB EN54 S3 sounded good with log periodic
KS9E EN54 S1 lots of QSB with vertical at 100 miles
KB0CIM EN37 S3
K0AWU EN37 S1
WD9BGA EN53 S1 (beam way off to his side)
K9KHW EN63 local, 20 over
WB9LYH EN54 20 over, great proof the band was up.
I sure hope you guys didn't just all disappear once I was
done. It's important you enjoy the activity that was stirred up.
It should also be easier for most of you to work each other,
than it is to work me way over toward Milwaukee. I mean,
yes, we need to keep 144.240 free while I'm looking around
for check-ins, but you can feel free to QSY once I'm done
looking in your direction.
Can always use http://www.dxworld.com/144prop.html
to read the net announcements ahead of time and to report
actual QSO's.
Also should use http://dxworld.com/vhfqso.html to keep
up with what I'm hearing, or to ask others to look your way
on perhaps a different frequency as we transition to ragchewing.
Also can use that to "raise your hand" and be noticed, if you
don't think I've looked your way or I've not heard you.
Those aren't perfect, and if I'm really busy, I probably
won't update them that well, but they are a way for you net
guys to coordinate anything you want to do.
Thanks for our best net ever. In the dead of winter, no less.
73,
Todd KC9BQA
