If they're in the same household, they have the choice of being a multi-op
under one call or they can both operate as themselves under their own
calls.

Not absolutely sure of the current rules but I believe that use of
repeaters and specifically the 146.520 FM two-meter calling frequency are
prohibited from being used to drum up activity. That certainly was on eof
the rules for the contest in past years.

Hmm - probably not other than meteor scatter or eme which absolutely do
count, however, there is no separate scoring based on mode. All modes are
considered equal for scoring purposes and you can only count a contact
once with any one station per band regardless of mode.

Yep - I have used MS before to add mults (and new states too!)

Absolutely. Again, score is the same though whether on phone or CW or
whatever.
