[NLRS] Minnesota QSO Party

Hello NLRS land.

The Minnesota QSO Party is Saturday, February 7,  from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm 
local.  The World works Minnesota stations and  Minnesota stations work other 
Minnesota stations as well as the World.  The  contest exchange is your first 
name and your Minnesota county while stations  outside of Minnesota send their 
first name and their state/province or country  if DX.  For example, if I work 
KM0T I send "Jon Hennepin" and KM0T  would then send to me "Mike Iowa".  Its 
that simple (and fun).    Full rules can be found at http://w0aa.org/mnqp.htm or 
ask me.  That same  website features both a software logging tool as well as 
paper forms that you  can down load if you wish to paper log.  Most contesting 
software also  supports the MnQP.

Assuming that the weather is OK, there should be a  large number of HF 
mobiles out and about running counties.  Check out the  list of mobiles at 
http://mwa.ekarg.com/ that is constantly being updated.   Many of the mobiles will be 
running APRS and real time tracking the day of the  contest can be obtained at 
http://www.nmdxa.org:8040/MWA/Map%20Index.html  .  

If someone what's to try operating HF mobile in the MnQP, I have  a FT100D 
that I can loan out to them .... no 2m nor 432 (finals fried), but  works well 
on 160m through 6m.  Drop me a note if you want to borrow  it.  Connect it to 
13 vdc and a Hamstik and you are set for some fun!  
 
Mark Feb 7 in your calendars, get on and have some fun, and send in a log  as 
indicated by the above website with NLRS as your club.
