[NLRS] Activities for Jan & Feb

Hello NLRS land.

Just a short note to remind everyone that NLRS breakfast is this Saturday,
January 10, at the Old Country Buffet in Richfield.

The ARRL January VHF contest is the following weekend, January 17 (1900Z)
to January 19 (0359Z).  Please get on and hand out some Q's.  6m has been
sputtering just a bit as of late, lets hope there is some winter E's left
for the contest.

Then on Saturday, February 7, is the Minnesota QSO Party, 1400Z to 2359Z.
The contest exchange is name and county for MN stations, or name and
state/province/country for non-Minnesota stations.  For example, I would
send "JON HEN".  Full rules, including MN county abbreviations (for CW) and
logging software (and paper forms) can be found at http://w0aa.org/mnqp.htm
and/or ask me.   Last year the newly added "phone only" category was very
popular.  There is also a VHF category .... check out the rules at the
referenced website.  Mark Feb 7 in your calendars for this really fun event
where MN works the World and the World works MN.  W0ZQ/m will be activation
a number of counties on 20, 40, and 80m CW.
