I'm not sure if this is applicable to your case, but in my experience
BNC jacks have a fairly limited number of insertions before the jack
goes bad.
We used BNC connectors at my church for some wireless receivers, and
for many years had a need to set up and tear down the equipment 1-2
times each week. We found that we needed to replace the BNC jacks
2-4 times per year.
