[NLRS] Bad BNC Jacks???

It appears I've been bitten by another bad BNC jack. This time on my
W1GHZ 222 transverter. It exhibits the same problem as the one I
replaced on my DEMI 10 GHz unit. If I wiggle the coax connector body
side to side, the transverter output power drops to a low level. This
makes me think there is some issue making contact between center pins.
Are the center pin diameters different size between 50 ohm and 75 ohm
connectors? I would suspect they would be. I am about ready to give up
on BNC connctors. I suppose N connectors would be the logical choice?
Anybody else run into this problem? Input?
