We ended up with 11 check-ins last night. Thanks to all who
came out and played.
Also be aware that we're starting at 7:15pm from now on. I like
this better, because it gives me a little more time with each check-in.
Folks are using this link http://dxworld.com/vhfqso.html to help
keep track of what's going on during the net. It's certainly not
mandatory, but at least I have a way of seeing who's out there,
and letting others know who I'm working, while the net is in
progress. I will continue to post info at dxworld.com/vhfqso.
Our check-ins last night were:
N0IRS JD EM29 S1
KC9CSQ Larry EN42 S1
W9RPM John EN43 S5-7 on peaks
W9HQ David EN43 S1-2
KC9JTL Christopher -- David's son
W9GM Ken EN43 S1-2
I think Ken was new, and good to hear another one on
from La Crosse. If every grid square had an activity center
like EN43 does, VHF would be in way better shape. Think
about what *YOU* can do to help create a La Crosse-type
burst of new activity in your own area. There's no better time
to get started than early spring. (Ignore today's weather, hihi)
KC9ECI Tom EN43 S1
KB9KTD David EN43 S0
KC0LXB Charles EN34 S1
K0SIX Vince EN35 S1
KC0KVD John EN37 S0
Conditions were flat last night, yet KC0KVD's checking in
was a highlight. Especially since after brief initial contact, we
disappeared from each other. I had a little extra time to devote
to EN37 from about 8:05-8:15, and called that way at least a
dozen times after our initial burst. Nothing. So that was good
timing for John and myself.
Looking forward to plenty more enjoyable nets as we head
into spring and summer. Please keep spreading the word to hams
you think may be interested.
As always, any comments or questions, just email.
