[NLRS] Logs for the UHF Contest (aka Rovermania VI !)

I hope that you get the 51 logs to get an entry into the unlimited
category. That would truly be historic! The members of NLRS should be
congratulated for nearly single handedly reviving the UHF contest from
near certain death in 2004. An entry in the unlimited club competition
would be a fitting crown to this achievement.

Everyone from the NLRS who participated in the UHF contest should
submit a log, no matter how small. Everyone's contribution is
significant.

Historically, club competition has driven VHF/UHF contest activity.
NLRS has shown this to continue to be true. I think that the best way
to encourage contest activity and to show the ARRL that there is
sufficient activity in the UHF contest to continue it, is to get some
competition among clubs going.

It looks like the Southern California Contest Club is hot on your
heels, but their mode of operation is quite different than yours and
relies on big scores from a few rovers, whereas the NLRS is more
democratic, with activity from lots of rovers, lots of fixed stations,
and a few good portable stations.

I wish I could have participated in Rovermania VI!, but unfortunately
I had other commitments here in New Mexico and Arizona. There was nil
activity here. I will try again to get up there for next year's
contest, but I do not think that I can contribute to the NLRS club
score, except to provide QSOs to you guys.

Keep up the good work. - Duffey
