Hello BCers and NLRSers,

The ARRL Logs Received Report is (was?) showing 174 Logs
received for the UHF Contest as of my check just a few minutes
before this post. One of the 'dupes' that I've mentioned before
has been 'removed' but one remains, leaving 173.

TWENTY-FOUR of the logs submitted list NLRS as their Affiliated
Club, however, WA2VOI's log *looks* like it was submitted to be
a "Unlimited Rover" entry, which, though it appears the "words"
stating that "Unlimited Rover scores may NOT be applied to a
club score for Club Competition." were NOT added to the UHF
Rules for 2009, *may* be applied by the Contest Branch. Whether
24 or 23, that is an OUTSTANDING level of participation by NLRS.

Badger Contesters has TEN logs ON the Logs Received report with
ONE known to have been mailed in as a paper log and two other
logs that I know of YET TO BE entered, for 13 (listed below).

Nine entries are now showing for the Pacific Northwest VHF
Society and the Southern California Contest Club now has 8, with
6 of theirs being Rover, though one of those looks like a
"Unlimited Rover" so it, too, would be excluded if the
prohibition for Unlimited Rovers in Club scoring mentioned above
were applied.

The count of logs from Rovers is now at FORTY-FIVE! OVER 1/4 of
the 172 logs. That includes 28 "classic" Rovers, 13 Limited and
4 Unlimited. 117 Single-Op logs (split 78 Low Power and 39 High
Power) and 11 Multi-Ops make up the rest.

Here are the logs for Badger Contesters of which I am aware
(along with 'claimed score' if I am aware of it):

(K0PG/R - R - ~19k)
K2YAZ - B
K9ILT/R - R - 18,105
K9JK - A - 48
K9JK/R - RL - 15,504
KC9BQA - A - 49,860
KC9JTL - A
W9FZ/R - R - 166,914
(W9GA - B? - ~16k)
W9HQ - A
W9SNR/R - R - 69,747
WB8BZK/R - R - 20,826
WO9U - A - 3

The letter(s) following call sign are the Entry Class, A =
Single-Op Low Power, B = Single-Op High Power, R = Rover, RL =
Limited Rover.

The ARRL Section breakdown remains very focused in the midwest
with Minnesota now at 23, followed by Illinois with 15 (and at
least 1 more expected) and Wisconsin now at 10 (with one 'paper
log' expected and another electronic log expected from W9GA). Of
the logs that are IN electronically, that makes FORTY-EIGHT of
the 172 logs from just THREE ARRL Sections.

Western Washington jumped up to 6 logs earlier and has now been
joined by Sacramento Valley, Orange and Michigan at the six
count. Eastern Massachusetts, Georgia and Virginia each are
presently showing five logs each.

I'm still looking for "Sidebar" write-ups to add to the Web
Report version of the Results Article. This year's 'deadline'
will be mid-October to get the Results back in to the January
(2010) QST so there is time. But why not get started "now" while
it is "only three weeks ago" and highlights are "fresher" in
your mind as opposed to in October when it will be "eight or
nine weeks ago".

73, JK
