[NLRS] NLRS Donations: ARRL Spectrum Defense & Education Funds

Hello NLRS land.

Today's snail mail  brought us a letter from the ARRL providing 
confirmation and a "thank you"  for the generous donation of $100 from the NLRS to 
first the ARRL Spectrum  Defense Fund and second, the ARRL Education & 
Technology Fund.  I will  scan these documents and send them to W0JT for posting on 
our NLRS  website.  

As a small club we don't have a lot of working  capital.  Our $5 yearly 
dues provide the bulk of our revenue so $200  represents a significant part of 
our yearly income.  And, as with all  clubs, there is always (good) 
discussion about what the purpose of a club is and  based on that how much money to 
collect and how to use it.   That  said, I am proud to be a NLRS member and 
to see us support both of these worthy  funds in this way.
