[NLRS] help!!!! TR-9130 microphone

N0DQS and N0UK hit it right on the head. Pin 5 - Pin 5 for 8vdc for
microphone was missing. What is interesting is that the TR-9130 manual and
schematics don't show that pin 5 has any internal connection. It appears
that the manual and circuit don't match.
Next issue:
TR-751
FM 10 watts
SSB 8 watts
CW 10 watts
TR-9130 (on low power)
FM 4 watts
SSB 10 watts
CW 4 watts
So do I turn down the mic gain (to level out the power output) and then
adjust the transverters to the lower drive level of the TR-9130?
Leave the SSB/mic level as-is and back off the mic a bit and then adjust the
the transverters to the lower drive level of the TR-9130?
I think that option one is the proper path. I need to make my decision today
so that I can try to realign the transverters (which are in my utility
room... not in my shack/office) tonight. Then I will need to get an on-air
check Thursday or Friday evening.
(I am assuming that there is a trimmer pot in the DEMI transverters that
acts as a pad for the drive levels.)
Thanks, JH

John,
it is just possible that the TR-9130 uses a dynamic microphone and the 8-pin
mic's you're trying to use have electret elements which require a DC bias to
function.
