   Hello,

I will not be doing the 144 nets this Wed. Instead, I'm
going to enjoy the 432 sprint from 7-11pm. Link to the
rules: http://www.svhfs.org/fall_sprint_rules.htm

The turnout for the 144 sprint was great in S WI and ILL.
The turnout for the 222 sprint was not very strong. Who
wants to change things for the better for the 432 sprint?

I know I will be on. I'm emailing dozens of W ILL, IA and
far S MN hams who may not belong to any of the 4 reflectors
(NLRS, BC, SMC and CVVHF.) I let them know when I'll
be looking their way. It may pay to look toward Iowa for this
432 sprint.

I'll be looking toward CVVHF (EN44) and NLRS (EN34,
35, 36 and 37) at specific times as well. I should be looking
EN44/34 right about 8:10-8:15, on or very near 432.090 Mhz.
I should be looking toward EN35/36/37 about 8:20-25pm. I
will repeat this process at about 10:20-25pm, and a bit farther
north again at 10:25-30pm.

Now I need to print this out so I'll remember to follow thru.

   I've got a full 100 watts on 432, and stacked 25-el K1FO's
up 105/110', so I get out very well. W9GA is also strong on
432 and we like to tag-team on these little RF missions. So
you may very well get an EN63 and an EN53 for your trouble.

So who in the heck is going to get on for this 432 sprint?
It's been way too quiet on all but the SMC reflectors, and
they're mostly fired up about the ARRL 160M contest.
(And topband does sound fun, I gotta admit. Might have
to get into that someday.)

Also, it's not too early to think about getting things squared
away for the ARRL Jan VHF Sweepstakes. It's on the
weekend of Jan 19-20, and the weather's still nice enough to
do whatever needs doing. I have this theory that the Upper
Midwest should operate the hardest in the Jan contest because
there's nothing to do outside, no summer vacations to take, just
plenty of time to play radio.

Thanks for your time, hope to hear you on 432 Wed. nite,
   73,

   50 thru 2304
