Hello NLRS Land.

It is with honor that I announce that nominations are open for this years
recipient of the NLRS Wesslund Award. Nominations must be made in written form
(email, snail mail, direct copy, etc) and given to one of your NLRS club
officers (W0ZQ, N0UK, or KC0IYT). The award will be presented at Aurora'08
during the afternoon business meeting. Current club officers are excluded. The
award committee, comprised of the three club officers, W0AUS, and membership
representation, shall review all written nominations and make the final
selection.

The Wesslund Award states: "The Wesslund Award honors Robert (Bob) Wesslund,
W0AUS, for his many years of significant contributions to the Northern
Lights Radio Society and for his continuous work with mentoring others in the
World above 50 MHz. This award is presented annually to recognize those NLRS
members who have assisted others in gaining knowledge and access to the bands
above 50 MHz."

Written nominations should be short but should exemplify those attributes
outlined above. Past winners are Bob Wesslund, W0AUS (2004), Donn Baker,
WA2VOI (2005), Jon Lieberg, K0FQA (2006), and Gary Mohrlant, W0GHZ (2007).

73, Jon
W0ZQ.
