With everything going on, I kept forgetting to get a sched out. I also changed plans at the last minutes anyhow due to staying away from flodded/closed off routes due to rain etc.... Anyhoo, a Quick Saturday blurb and the rest of the sched starting Sunday June 15.
Saturday:
Start EN53 West of Plymouth, WI One 6 Meter contact
EN63 Cty M and Hwy 23. a double handful of 6 meter opening Q's
and 3 locals: 6M, 2m FM, 440 FM Q's
EN64 Hwy 43N to Green Bay No Q's
EN54 park & ride and hwy 141 North No Q's
EN55/65 Hwy 64 and Pound area, No Q's
Hwy 8 West near Rhinelander, one Q in and out.
Where was everyone? I figured I could scare some up by rotoring around and 150 watts on the 2 lower bands. Condx were not good though other than the slight opening on 6. I could not get across one grid square from EN63 to EN64, and heard lots of southern stations working EN30's 40's, 50's and 60's, but nothing heard close by. heard K8EB early on, and possibly later on 6, but faded into the background. Anyhoo, I hope Sunday will be better. Overnighting at the parent's house. I plan on getting up and on the road by 6 am or so...so here is the game plan for Sunday: (general times---flexible)
6am-7am (11:00 - 12:00 UTC) EN55/EN56 hwy 45 North from Rhinelander,WI to Watersmeet or Bruce Crossing, MI
7am-9am (12:00-14:00) EN56/46 West toward Hurley & Ashland on US2 (or whateve goes that way from Bruce Crossing if I take that route)
9am-11am (14:00-16:00) EN46 US 2 to Hwy 53S/ sit Just south of the US 2 and 53 Split
11am-3pm (16:00-20:00) EN46/45 Hwy 53 South (Wayside near Chetek/Bloomer)
3pm-5pm (20:00-22:00) EN45/35 Hwy 64 West toward New Richmond/Sit at Wildlife spot outside New Richmond, maybe head toward Somerset.
5 pm-7pm (22:00-00:00) EN34 Road and Sit at Tower site South of I-94 just off of Hwy 65
7pm-10pm (00:00-03:00) EN34/44 road, EN44 sit somewhere
END
Hopefully the bands will open up nice tomorrow. Good luck everyone.
