   Good day,

Last night we had 11 check-ins plus myself as net control
for the Badger Contesters net.

   Check-ins were:
   K9IJ - John - Lake Zurich, IL EN52 - 5x3
   AF9J - Ellen - Greenfield, WI EN52 - 5x2
   N9LAH - Phil - Chebanese, IL EN60 - 5x2
   N9TF - Gene - Mundelein, IL EN52 - 5x9
   N9WU - Rick - Germantown, WI EN53 - 5x3
   K4QH - Phil - Greenbriar, TN EM66 - 5x1
   N9UM - Mark - Wauconda, IL EN52 - 5x5
   K0KFC - Jim - St Croix Falls, WI EN35 - 5x2
   K9BH - Joe - Schererville, IN EN61 - 5x2
** Interesting note about Joe. He was vertically polarized,
but was tuning around and figured he'd give it a shot. He
was Q5 the entire time. He also said he hadn't been on
144 in 10 years and was very pleased to hear something.
That is EXACTLY what makes this whole deal worthwhile.**
   KC9CUK - Eric - Marengo, IL EN52 - 5x3
   N9XRO - Jack - Menomonee Falls, WI EN53 5x9 -- local.

Conditions were down considerably from last week but
K4QH still made the path, albeit for a brief time.
   A few of us QSY'd to 432 afterwards, and N9TF and I
were amazed at how much signals built on 432 over the
course of a half hour. We went from 5x5 with QSB to a
steady 20 over by the time we signed about 10:30pm.

Thanks everyone for participating and we'll be at it next
Wed. at 8:30 central, on 144.250, starting out by looking
south, then going SW, W, NW, and so on.

    73,
Todd KC9BQA EN63ao 40 miles north of Milwaukee
