[NLRS] Need help re: strange noise source on just 902 MHz band

I'm encountering a very strange noise source that appears only on the 902
MHz band. It' always ON (24 x 7) but never appears on any other band
(between 50 - 3456 MHz). It's very directional (@ a bearing of 165 +/- 10
degrees from my QTH (very weak of off the back of the loopers) but
interferes with up to 60 degrees of azimuth.
It's present across the entire 902 MHz band and doesn't change as you tune
across the band. It sounds like a continuous crackle with additional noise
pluses on top of it. It's strength is up to S9 + 10 dB (over a background
noise level of S1) and doesn't vary much except when the additional noise
pulses occur every second or so.
I thought that the antenna would be pointing at one of the nearby power line
poles but instead it's pointing between them into an wooded area that is not
occupied. I don't have a separate 902 transverter to drive around with so I
can't get another bearing on the noise source at this time.
Any thoughts on what kind of noise source would only appear across only the
902 MHz band would be appreciated.
Otherwise I'm going to have to find another 902 MHz transverter and go fox
hunting in the forest.
