Summary
-------
Life in general got in the way of contesting again, so I could only
operate a few hours here and there on Sunday only. But it sounds like I
didn't miss very much this time, unlike last January.
Pluses
------
Much to my surprise, no problems with the rotator, and all 5 bands that
I used (50 - 902 MHz) worked the first time I turned them on tried them.
Minuses
-------
I already knew that 1296 was out of commission (kinked feedline rotator
loop, antenna is shorted), and the antennas for the higher bands are
still not on the tower. And I didn't have the motivation to bother with
hauling the 10 GHz system out into the driveway to make any additional
QSO's, as there was no precipitation to try to scatter off of down in
this hole of mine.
I did not catch any propagation. I only worked 3 grids total, the local
EN34 & EN35, and the near-local EN25 (thanks, NGØR).
Tentative Totals, subject to log scrutiny
-----------------------------------------
50 MHz 11 QSOs in 3 grids
144 MHz 20 QSOs in 3 grids
222 MHz 7 QSOs in 3 grids
432 MHz 12 QSOs in 3 grids
902 MHz 3 QSOs in 2 grids
----------------------------
Totals 53 QSOs, 14 grid multipliers
Tentative Claimed Score: 1134
-----------------------------
Vision for the Future
---------------------
Here's hoping that this Spring will bring successful antenna and other
repair work, and the summer will bring more successful contesting with
less interference from work etc.
