Hmmm....
Come to think of it, I didn't go outside to see if I could see the moon. But
I just looked it up at
http://aa.usno.navy.mil/data/docs/RS_OneDay.php , and the moonrise for Friday
was 12:42 p.m. local time, and moonset was 5:29 a.m. Saturday morning.
The next night at about 12:30 (Saturday night, Sunday morning), I didn't hear
very much (I heard something in there faintly, but I'm not sure whether it was
the terrestrial signal or the echo). That night, moonrise from the same site
was 1:38 PM, and moonset was 6:33 AM Sunday morning.
I did see the moon at about 5 PM on Saturday, so I'm pretty sure these figures
are correct.
