[NLRS] Low Band EME

I did hear them last night (Friday night, Saturday morning) clearly audible
above the S8 noise level with my inverted vee.

I did copy both signals, and at first, I assumed the weaker signal was the
lunar echo. But then, I calibrated the second hand of my clock (I had to
borrow the one from the kitchen), and sure enough, the echo was stronger.
There was some QSB on the terrestrial path, and occasionally I lost it
completely. But the echo was pretty consistent.

Too bad I don't have a 3.6 megawatt amp for 40 meters. I doubt if they would
hear my 5 watt QRP signal via the lunar path.

>>>OK, its not VHF, but it is EME. Interesting cut & paste from the ARRL
website .... see below. These times are UTC, so the first test would be
tonight from 11:00 pm to midnight Mpls local time of the first freq, then
from midnight to 1:00 am on the second freq. Same thing on Saturday night
with the times shifted 30 minutes.
