Good Morning,
Well I'm finally getting around to submitting my log.
Band QSOs Value QSOPts Mults
50 10 1 10 7
144 15 1 15 8
432 9 2 18 7
1296 2 4 8 2
Totals: 36 51 24
Claimed Score: 1224
I was happy I could get the antenna to rotate in the cold, it took about 10
minutes of rocking back and forth before it moved. I know that hindered
things for others. I was hoping that the cold would improve conditions but
it seemed like all the bands were down this time but I'm happy with my score
considering the way I was operating. I just answered those I heard, sorry
for that, I'm sure I could have given out a few more points if I'd made a
little more noise.
I was happy to work Bill (K0AWU) and Cletus(KB0LBS) on 1296, just 8 Watts
and a 50 element loop yagi on this end. I'm getting a little more
comfortable on CW (at least for contest exchanges) and think if conditions
had been better I would have worked a few others. Still working on the GI7B
cavity amp, no promises on when it will be finished.
Let's hope for better conditions in June.
