My first message must have hit the bit bucket, so I'll try again...

When I initially tuned up the transmit chain pipe caps (with circuit
board on it's side and out of the case), I was getting +10.5 dBm out
(low power version), so all appeared well. I pulled it out a couple
days ago to do some testing to see how the LO was behaving
(frequency-wise) from cold startup, after 5 minutes, etc. Transmitted
into power meter and was showing output of about +1.5 dBm. Took it all
apart and the bottom line is when I have the circuit board laying on its
side it puts ou the +10, but when I assemble it back into the case, it
goes to about +1. I looked for pinched wires, solder blobs, etc.
Nothing found. Seems like something is going on when the component side
of the circuit board is close to the metal case??? Any ideas from those
who have build one?
