Hi All -

>From the emails I have seen, propagation, activity and scores were up this
year in the UHF Contest!

I had sent out an email a month ago to ask about next years UHF Contest. I
wanted to put together a large multi-op on Buck Hill ski area in EN34 and
also send out a bunch of rovers to activate lots of grids. The goal would be to
run up a HUGE score for the multi-op and other stations who will be on the
air and have a LOT of fun!

I asked to see if I could get a planning team together to work out all the
details (and there will be hundreds of details to work out). I think we will
need many, many more people involved but I had the following volunteers to
help:

Jim, K0MHC - (Great to have someone from the northwest to help with activity
in that area & also rove!)
Ron, KA0RYT - (Ron, I'm hoping you can deliver a smokin' hot 432 set-up to
the multi-op!)
Tim, K0PG - (Tim will know the Chicago area folks and will help with roving!)
Bruce, W9FZ - (Bruce has some reflector ideas and tons of roving experience!)
Todd, KC9BQA - (Todd will get activity ready in Milwaukee and Chicago and
help with planning!)

We will still need others to help plan the multi-op, rovers, activity (Sioux
Falls, Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, etc.), etc. If you'd like to help, please
let me know.

You will be hearing updates as we move forward over the next year. I hope
we can present a full plan at AURORA '09 to show you all our progress. In the
mean time, let me know if you'd like to help.

Thanks in advance for (hopefully) making this a HUGE event for the Upper
Midwest!

Rich N0HJZ
