[NLRS] CSVHFS States Above 2007 - 2008: October Results

Hello NLRS land.

I received my 2006-2007 States Above award in the mail this weekend so a
tip-of-the-hat to our new States Above program administrator, K0KFC.
Postponed pleasure is even sweeter !    For those who are expecting their
awards from last year, if you have not seen yours yet drop Jim or myself a
note.

Attached below is the (NLRS) big board for this YTD.   The W0ZQ/R has been
out and about in the last two weeks and I have been adding to my rover
score .... where is the competition (a kindly poke-in-the-eye) ?    As
usual, some fine 6m scores from Vince and John.   Can't say I remember any
tropo openings this Fall and the UHF bands, 222 and up, tend to show a
lower count this year.    We have had some nice tropo openings in November
and early December in the past, perhaps this year will be one of them.

This year long operating event runs from 0001 UTC, 1 July 2007 to 2359 UTC,
30 June 2008.   The object is to work as many States and Provinces as
possible on the bands above 50 MHz.   QSL cards are not required.   Some
nice forms can be found on the referenced website.   Work 30 or more,
submit your results to our very own K0KFC next summer, and receive a very
nice certificate from Central States.    The full rules can be found at
