In the process of planning the rove effort for June.
I have the Delorme maps for where I need to go, but at
Aurora some of you had given me hints as to good spots
to sit at, so I need directions and landmarks to look
out for. The ones I was curious about are:

EN33/43/44/34 corner Matt or Bruce or Jon..or someone
said this was a good shot and little travel between
grids

EN46 and or EN56
I think Bruce said there was a good spot in
either both or one of these grids. I will be
travelling US-2 East. I was thinking a scenic
overlook near birch hill (at the Wisconsin highland
divide--BTW is this in 46 or 56?). Any other ideas.
EN56 I was thinking somewhere near Bessemer.

The EN43/44/53/54 corner
Not sure where to go for this one.

Other notes:

AMPS
I am looking to possibly borrow amps for 144 and
222 that are preferably 30 W input. Otherwise I will
have 30 W on both these bands with 6 and 10 el yagis
respectively (if I remember) I think Matt KF0Q said
he had the 144...send me your phone number. I'll call
you this weekend or something.

Bill...K0AWU, I may not be stopping by due to time
and route design, but you'll be able to get a few rare
grids on 5 bands (read below).

Plans:
   Bands:
     50 @ 150w into 2 el or looper
     144@ 30W (or amp) into a 6 element
     222@ 30W (or amp) into a 10 el
     432@ 100W into 2/3 of a 25 el K1FO
     1296@ 18W into a 35EZ

Sched to be determined more detailed after more
planning, but here is the planned route.

Saturday
EN38, EN48, EN47, EN37 Not sure of details, but will
be out of 37 going to 36 probably around 5 or 6pm.
EN36 (Enger Tower in Duluth) anyone know on possible
interference form all the comm towers and such there?
EN46 US2 East from Superior toward Hurley
EN56 Bessemer area??
*Possible EN57 if time permitting then back thru EN56
EN55 Overnight at the parents in Rhinelander, but will
work into the wee morning hours by the lake.

Sunday
EN55 HWY 8 west by 5am.
EN45 Hwy 8 West/53North/Ice age trail
EN35 New Richmond/Somerset
EN34 hwy65 to river to four corners
EN33/43Four corners may do a bit of 44 also
EN43/53/54 corner spot??
EN44 from four corners ending on to of arcadia hill

It's going to be a hairy one, but I know most of the
route other than the southern bit between 33/43 and
53/54.

I Have a memorial service to go to for my great aunt
in Virginia, MN in the late morning on Saturday. I
may do an on-the-go EN37 to get to the projected EN38
start grid depending on family issues. I will be on a
strictish schedule (times posted later with points of
sitting). When mobile I will only be running 50 and
144 for the most part unless I know someone is in my
beam path, then I may run the bands depending on
traffic (I will do a shoulder stop for a short)

The frequencies I am thinking of using for stationary
running/liason are:
50.185
144.185
222.085
432.085
1296.085 or .100

On the road run/listen:
50.135
144.205

Whew...tired even thinking about it.

I modulate, therefore I am!
               ...73, and all that jazz,
