At Aurora 2007, a FT-736R at an adjacent flea market table kept calling my
name - and finally I answered and it now has a new home. First thing I did
prior to even turning it on was to read a 1990 review in QST of the radio.

The reviewer in that article said that blocking dynamic range as measured
at the ARRL Lab was very good on 50 (119.5 dB, 144 (125.5 dB), and 220 Mhz
(105 dB) but really poor on 432 Mhz (74.5 dB) and that strong local stations
wiped out signals under S-8 on 432. Have you noticed this? If yes, what
resolution have you found?

Also, have you made any modifications to the 736 and if so, which mods are
useful?
