My claimed score is 32,849. Wasn't able to op much
on Saturday -- only about hour and a half. Got back on
about 9am Sunday and worked until the last 15 mins. when
skeeters started getting loose in the shed.
902/2304 wouldn't fire up for this 'test. No idea why;
I left everything just as it was when it worked nicely back
in September. Figure my score would have been about
50K, had 902 and 2304 been functional. Sorry I couldn't
give out EN63 on those bands. We'll have that corrected
somehow for August UHF, if not sooner. 1296 module
in the Icom 910H worked FB. Grateful for that.
Sunday cx's seemed flat at best. 6 tried to open at
various times, but never got red-hot. Last year's June
contest and then the CQ WW VHF in July really
spoiled me on 6 meters. My sense is that overall
activity was pretty good.
There was good rover activity in all directions. W9FZ
to my west and northwest. NE8I and KF8QL over in
Michigan and K9JK and WB8BZK to the south. I
called towards N9TTX, KF0Q and W0ZQ on their
published freq's fairly often on Sunday but never heard
a whisper of either them or any stations they might have
been working. I hope everything turned out OK with their
roves, and with everyone else's. In fact, the only MN
I scared up was K0KFC in EN35. Worked him with
N0AKC in EN44 in the middle. That was fun.
Band-by-band counts were as follows:
50: 62 Q's in 30 grids.
144: 49 Q's in 22 grids.
222: 36 Q's in 20 grids.
432: 38 Q's in 21 grids.
1296: 16 Q's in 14 grids.
73,
Todd KC9BQA EN63ao
