My ambitious plan is a 9-grid rove for the June contest. I plan to be
operational on 50mhz thru 10ghz. 144, 222, 432 will be rotatable, 902 - 3456
fixed on top of the car, 5.7 & 10ghz on tripods and 6m will hopefully be a
ways up in the air. I want to activate some new grids for fun, to hopefully
complete VUCC/r on 2304 and 5760, and collect grids towards 902 & 1296.
I'll hang out on 144.235. I'll also try to monitor 432.135 (when in a grid
adjoining EN34) or 50.165 when not in an adjoining grid.
If 6m opens up, I'm going to go play on 6m like everyone else. I'll try to
monitor 2m if I do that.
Where Grid Start End Travel
Home EN34js 0900 4:00
Madison EN15xb 1300 1400
Madison EN14wx 1500 1600 4:00
Winsted EN24xw 2000 2100 1:00
Howard Lake EN25wb 2200 2300 1:30
Eagan EN34js 0030
Sunday, Plan "A":
Home EN34js 1000 4:00
West Union EN32 1400 1500 1:00
West Union EN42 1600 1700 3:00
St. Charles EN43aw 2000 2100 0:00
St. Charles EN33xw 2100 2200
If I'm not making the microwave QSOs that I hope for (either because 6m is open
and nobody is around or conditions are lousy), I'll "go short" to the
St. Charles grid corner on this schedule:
Sunday, Plan "B":
Home EN34js 0900 3:00
Altura EN44ab 1200 1300 1:00
St. Charles EN43aw 1400 1530 1:00
St. Charles EN33xw 1600 1730 2:00
Cannon Falls EN34nl 1930 2100
During these operating times, I plan to point towards the twin cities from
0:15 to 0:35 in the hour. Outside of that time, I could be pointing anywhere.
My schedule probably looks a bit eclectic. I don't want to commit 100% to
remote locations, so I've come up with a schedule where I'll work grids from
their closest-to-grid-EN34 sides. For Saturday's schedule, this really doesn't
change things much (except drive time padding) since the route out and back
takes me past the EN24/EN25 grid corner.
I'll post again if there are any substantial changes to this plan.
