Hello VHF'ers: (I know, some of you have received this message 5
times :-) )
The 2006-2007 Program year has just come to an end on June 30th.
The States Above 50 MHz Award Program has you log, collect, and
track the states you work each year on the VHF bands. It gives you
an annual challange to get on the air and operate!
First, those of you who participated in the 2005-2006 program may
wonder where your certificates are. They are still coming! While
your patience is appreciated, you'd certainly be understanding if
you knew all of the challenges that led to the delay.
Second, we have a new program administrator beginning immediately.
You should now submit your States Above entries to:
Jim Hermanek K0KFC
1213 207th St
St Croix Falls, WI 54024
Electronically, you can contact Jim at jhermanek at centurytel dot
net
Info about the States Above 50MHz Award Program can be found at:
http://csvhfs.org/CSVHFTST.HTML
The website will be updated shortly with the new administrators
info.
Please remember that you can submit your entries until August
31st, 2007 for a certificate recognizing your accomplishment.
Certificates will go out in late September. Plaques will be
awarded at the Central States VHF Society Conference on July 29th,
2007 to the top three scores received to that point. (Need not be
present to win a plaque) So, you may bring your entries to the
conference, but it would be best to communicate with the program
administrator so that he knows about your entry.
If you've already dispatched your entry to Peter Shilton VE3AX,
our outgoing administrator, not a problem. Peter will bundle
entries he receives and forward them to the new administrator.
Even if you didn't track your states during the year, you can go
back into your logs and put together an entry for the 2006-2007
year. And start logging your contacts (as of 4 days ago) for the
current program year. Logging sheets are available via the
weblinks above.
