    Good evening gentlemen,
Jeffrey here, KG0VL/KL7. Have been here now since December 23rd and have been busy. Tonight we begin our launch window of five aurora rockets scheduled from Poker Flat until January 24th. Most of the units will be aligned for a 96-104 kilometer release. The BP75/b site lies directly between the launch and downwind site at Fort Yukon/Kaktovic, so results should be interesting.
During our stay, we have been trying to isolate certain convective E-layer plasma circulations that seem to originate between two layers of cyclonic pools about the magnetic pole, bearing 030 degrees and 65 kilometers in height.
Our cabin here is very primitive, with plywood floors and outdoor toilets. Wx hasn't been too bad, as last night the beacon site hit -50F, but it did warm up to -39F for the day's high. There has been outstanding visual aurora (mostly 5,577 angstrom levels) directly overhead the cabin.
Haven't had much time for the radio, but have been working the EO26/b op in Northern Manitoba on 20 meters. Amazing results, as it's well past midnight and no signals. Many times he has been S-9+. Not much heard on 50 mcs, just the usual Northern aurora beacons late in the evening.
Otherwise all is well. I do apologize for my poor speaking in Bloomington last July, as I don't do that much any more. Hope all is well, and sure hope to hear some NLRS members on aurora from the Last Frontier.

73, de KG0VL/KL7 BP65 Chatanika/Poker Flat
