While I WILL admit and agree that many antennas push the limit of 
"eye-appeal", but I MUST disagree with the choice of the word "ugly", 
ESPECIALLY for a ham antenna that WORKS.

And is ANY antenna truly "ugly" to a ham?

In this age of "political correctness," can "we" find a different way 
to reference such? Maybe "appearance challenged"?
