Correct! Get an emulation program running, AWG, and then run UI-View which
is free now and your set. My APRS Digi runs UI-View and a KPC-3 TNC. I
cover a large area here in EN14. Check out my webpage and you can see a
live map of the area with the current activity. www.kb0nly.net

As for down by EN13, there is N0RGA-13, W0FSD-10, WB0WNX-5, and one or two
more in Iowa, just can't think of their calls right now. Download UI-VIEW
and connect it to an internet server to receive reports, you don't even need
a receiver and tnc but it would be faster for local reports because there is
no delay from the Igate to internet and then to you, but you can at least
see whats on the air in your area using it.

Make sure you also set up the filtering to only show your area and a
specified circumference when using the internet server otherwise your
internet connection will be swamped with the data flowing through. It's
best to connect to and use the server side filtering, then you don't even
receive the stuff you don't want.

73,

Scott
