As you are getting your log together from Rovermania, remember to log
rovers with a /R in your log. If you log W0ZQ/R as W0ZQ it will
generate a logging error. You need to indicate all rovers as /R , and
only /R , in your log.
Regarding my contest, a full report will follow. Let me just say that I
participated in the over 2" of rain that they received in the SE part
of MN on Saturday. As such, I was rarely able to deploy my 5.7 and
10gig's, so my score will definitely be down. It was also cool, the
high temperature I think was 62 degrees (August !) and I wore my fall
coat and had the car heater on to help with the dampness. Propagation
wise, conditions were very very poor. Overall, with the exception of
the SBMS experience from two years ago, this was my most difficult rove
of all times. Thanks to all the fixed stations that showed some
patients with me. Sunday was a bit of a rebound with just a light mist
in the early morning that gave way to gray sky's (wow .... no rain
!!!!!). I found my spot in EN35ad to have lots of corn .... with the
ethanol demand, there is LOTS of corn out there, much more than usual.
EN34av, Yale Ave, was also corn.
