Well, I think I'm going to do this again.
I'm going to activate the Beauford, MN grid corner. Should be easy shots to
the twin cities (if anyone is going to be there) and a good set of grids to
hand out to other rovers.
Saturday:
1300 1500 en24
1530 1730 en23
1800 2000 en33
2200 home
Sunday:
0800 1100 en34
1200 1300 en35
I may skip going to EN35 on Sunday if I think I can pick up new grids on 5ghz
& 10ghz. I've altered my route for Sunday to avoid The Missing Bridge, and I
hope traffic isn't too horrible otherwise.
I plan to spend time looking for other rovers so I won't be on my coordinated
frequency of 222.145, 432.145 absolutely all of the time. When I'm off doing
hunt-and-pounce on 222, I'll try to keep an ear to my 70cm frequncy.
I have changed my antenna rack again, and now have the loopers up off the roof
of the car. I'll be doing a quick "field setup" of the 222/432 antennas, so
the antenna travel height is lower than previous roves. I'm also switching my
microwave IF over to an IC706MKIIG in order to get filtering and DSP.
