Here ya go for the contest. I tried running straight
window line for the G5RV, and it tuned and worked
better than usual. (No real suprise about that
though). 160 and 80 were still tough, but then I
think I napped during the better propagation hours.
the high bands were the money bands including 10
meters. it opened on Saturday, and I only got in at
the end. I made a "quick" trip to the cities to get
window line and talk to Dennis at Radio City...so it
was a contest non-productive 5 hours there. Had a
good time with less frustration than normal. Both
rigs ran excellent. High points were bagging Kenya
through a pileup as well as working S9SS, Sicily, and
a bunch of JA's. There were a few others that I tried
to hit, but the power boys in the pileup were
constantly calling over everyone else...could barely
hear the DX station. (No suprise again). I heard
Macau (twice), but never got through the alligators
again. (Gotta love it when they are giving their call
over and over and over and then asking who he is and
where in the same breath...pays to listen 1st.)

Anyway...Here is the meager SOLP summary from
N9TTX...down fgrom last year by 50K but almost broke
100K (would have if I didn't hit the cities and took
naps)
