I almost missed this one completely. I got it into my head
that the 6M sprint was in December sometime. Good thing I saw
the posting on the NRLS reflector this afternoon.
Had a mini-flurry of activity when I first got on and then a
really rather long dry spell. Condx at the beginning seemed
pretty poor. The last 1.5 - 2 hrs were quite productive and
I'd say condx improved. Nothing out of 8 land for this one
though, - that's a bit unusual. EN44 however was pretty well
represented. In general I think condx to my NW were better
than my SE. The Chicago regulars were weaker than normal. I
caught K0CQ and N0EDV fairly late in the test and after I
made a couple previous passes of calling CQ through my west.
It was also good to work Vince, N0VZJ yet again in a sprint.
I want to say that I have swept him on all 4 of my bands for
this fall series of sprints.
I also did work many of those unfamiliar calls in EN52 that
John, K9JK had mentioned as well. Hopefully they will become
contest regulars.
Ended up with 26Q's 11 Grids... all logged with the
rfsport.com real-time logger.
