[NLRS] Remote Coax Switch..

Anyone have experience with using the Ameritron RCS-8V, 5 position remote 
coax switch, on VHF and UHF?  The manual states it can be used up to 250Mhz 
with little loss, and up to 450 with some noticeable loss.

I want to use this one, or its 8 position cousin, for 6m, 2m, 70cm.  Is 
there any way to improve upon the design with better relays at UHF?

Or can anyone suggest an alternative?  I need at least five or six positions 
for various antennas I will be adding.  I have thought about a manual switch 
in the shack but that means a LOT more coax to run inside.
