144.260 is the freq that the "east coast" has been using for microwave
liaison, so its kind of the standard. In addition to 144.260, locally here in
the big city, 146.46 simplex.
BTW, the "calling freq" on 222 and up is XXX.100 so for 902 its 902.100, not
902.125. Also be aware that east of the Mississippi that 903 is the
primary freq, not 902, so when you QSY to 33 cm make sure that both parties are
going to the right freq (either 902 or 903). Locally, that is why most Op's
have 144 = 902 and 145 = 903 so that they can cover both. If you are using
the same IF rig for multiple microwave bands, when you go to 145 for 903,
don't forget to switch it back to 144 for the other bands (ex: 1296, 2304, etc).
Oct 14 is NLRS breakfast, this time in Roseville, so many of us may be there
during the morning hrs. Rotten timing on their part.
