Quick question about the Yaesu QRP rig, the FT-817...Does anybody know
if it has the same neat feature as the FT-857 where you can set the VFO
to some frequency and then set a display offset (XVTR function) so that
the display actually shows the transmit frequency of an attached
transverter? For example, I set my FT-857's VFO to 22.100, set the
offset, enable the XVTR function and the display shows 222.100 or
902.100 or 10368.100, etc.

I oopsied my 222 transverter and I think the low power 817 would be a
good way to dedicate a rig to use as an IF rig and not have so much
power available to blow sensitive MMICs...
