For Sale:
Get ready for the ARRL January Contest and put a big, clean signal out of
2-meters!
This W2GN-Style Strip-line Amplifier uses a pair of 4X150B on a 7" H 19" W
rack Panel and has a large front-panel Relative Output Meter. As configured
the amplifier loafs along at 225 watts out. With higher plate voltage and a
pair of 4CX2560s, the amplifier could do 600 watts out!
The Amplifier is operational and is a complete package with the following:
- Remote mounting 120 VAC Blower with air filters and noise
suppression with flexible ducting to Amp.
- A Control Panel with Plate Current, Plate Voltage, Screen and Grid
Current Meters with 7" H 19" W Rack Panel
- A HV Power Supply and 100 VDC at 300 ma plus Screen Supply. 120
VAC Input
- 2 Dow-Key 110 VAC Relays - UHF Connectors
- 6-DB TX Attenuator/Pad
- A Pair of Spare pull-out 4X150 tubes
- Includes a set of the (Ham Radio, October 1977) original Ham Radio
magazine construction article by W2GN. Also included is a hand-drawn
schematic of the power supply and control circuits.
All are in good physical condition and worked well when last used in 1992.
No guarantees, however. Price is $350 and prefer local pick-up only as the
power supply is heavy and probably not economical to ship. Pictures of the
amplifier deck, power supply, and control panel are available upon request.
