Regarding the different between M2 and K1FO. M2 ants and the K1FO are build about the same as far as press on keepers to the elements to boom construction, But the drive elements is again some thing else. M2 uses a sealed T-Match buy using a coax with Weather proof connectors and the N-connect is mounted to a alum Block to keep the weather out. K1FO: Any and all connections are solder and are out in the open on the drive element. Like the 4:1 balun, Plastic stand offs to support the balun, the N-connecter and the shorting bars are exposed. Yes you can try to seal these open connections. Lets face it when you have it up on the tower for me one does not need the extra maintenance. Dave NØKP

Subject: [NLRS] 222 antennas

Hi all, I'm looking at buying a 222 beam. The 2 units I'm looking at
are the 222-10EZ by M2 and the DSFO222-10RS by directive systems. The
M2 has slightly better specs due to it's being 1'9" longer and I haven't
checked out the prices yet.
I'd like to get this before the June contest so my time horizon is short.

Any thoughts from all of you experts out there? :)

Thanks
Mike
