Hello NLRS land.

The ARRL June VHF contest is June 10 and 11th. The W0ZQ/R roverlite mobile plans to be out & about burning some expensive gasoline, so please get on and work me ! My approach to this contest is very laid back with my primary goal to a) smoke test my equipment for Rovermania (the August UHF contest) and, b) oh ya, to have some fun !

On Saturday I plan to activate the EN24/25/34/35 Dog Lake grid corner. On Sunday, I plan to first activate the EN43/44/33/34 St. Charles grid corner in the morning, then in the afternoon move over to the EN23/24/33/34 Beauford grid corner. This should activate eight unique grids; EN23, 24, 25, 33, 34, 35, 43, and 44. If there are some other rovers in the area, fear not, as its a big grid corner and I have four wheels. Glen and I had no problems avoiding each other last year and we made some nice microwave Q's to boot.

My "hang" frequency will be 144.170 MHz. I will have many bands, and will be QSYing like a mad rover, but please remember two things; first, if you hear me, call me before I QSY .... don't worry about being polite, just call me ..... I will work everyone that I can hear before I QSY to a new band. Second, I will always return to 144.170 if I loose anyone along the way.

Here is the roverlite equipment:
  6m - FT897, 100 watts, ParElectronics Loop at 9'
  2m - FT897, 160 watt brick, 4 element
  222 - FT897, 120 watt brick, 4 element
  432 - FT897, 100 watt brick, 6' boom.
  902 - 10 watts, 6' boom.
  1296 - 50 watts, 6' boom.
  2304 - 5 watts, 8' boom
  3456 - 40 watts, 5' boom.
5760 - 2 watts, dish that is deployed when stopped
10 gigs - 6 watts, dish that is deployed when stopped.

Looking forward to working everyone during the contest ! Get on, make some noise, and enter a log.

73, Jon
W0ZQ/R
