With the help of K0PW I was able to learn a lot about transverters. About 6 month or so I purchased some equipment from him for a very very fair price. I experimented with transverters ,I.E. Demi, and found them to be very effective in week signal work. I had purchased a 2 meter transverter from him and had it connected to my IC-756ProII. It worked very well. The max drive of the proII transverter port was -20dbm. The transverter would generate a max of 12 W with this drive. Not to bad since the unit was made for a i.f. of 100-300mW.

What I have found out for me at least is that I still love my IC-910H. Dual rx and integrated mast mout pre-amps and simple ease of use will keep me grounded to this rig for now.

So, I have these 2 little guys on my shoulders. One says sell it on ebay for 250+ the other , the one I am listening to, is saying offer it out to the NLRS group so that someone else can learn or use it. Be sure to know that if we get more than what we have into it we will take Jon out for lunch a few times.

So, anyone with reasonable offers, i.e. not less than what I paid for it Hi Hi thats a secret, shoot me an e-mail and we will work out the details.

Again thank you to Jon K0PW! A great asset to our group.

And no, I am not giving up on ham radio or VHF. I am just culling the herd.
