OK, try this:
1. Measure the SWR at any frequency, and if its something significantly
higher that 1:1, then is not 50 ohms.
2. If it is very close to 1:1, then jump to a second frequency (band) that
is not an integral of the first freq and do it again. If its still 1:1,
then its indeed 50 ohms. If its something significantly higher than 1:1,
then you have the odd chance occurance that Jerry is covering.
Two bands that are not well related that may work would be 14 MHz and 21
MHz, or 144 and 222. Measure the SWR on one band, then the other, and if
the SWR is very close to 1:1, its 50 ohms.
