A cut & paste from the VHFContesting reflector regarding the CQWW VHF
contest.

Greetings VHF Enthusiasts:

The next stop in the VHF contest season is the CQ World-Wide VHF Contest,
July 15 - 16. More on this later.

But first, 164 certificates for the 2005 contest reported in the April
issue of CQ Magazine are in the mail. Plaques are expected back from the
engraver momentarily and will be mailed shortly.

The complete results -- scores and write-up -- for the 2005 contest are now
posted on the CQ website. Hit the "2005 Results" link on the contest
website:
 www.cqww-vhf.com.

The upcoming 2006 CQWW VHF Contest is a great time to introduce newcomers
to the joys of VHF contesting. This is a 6- and 2-meter contest only which
broadens the scope of perspective entrants. CQ-VHF -- in addition to the
usual Single Op, QRP, Multi and Rover categories -- has a unique
"Hilltopper" category to encourage QRP/portable operation from rare grids
without a full-fledged weekend commitment....just 6 hours operating and
competitive with like stations. See April CQ Magazine or www.cqww-vhf.com
for complete rules.

Certificates are earned for top scores in each state/province/country per
category and where exceptional effort is displayed. Contest starts at
1800Z Saturday, July 15 and runs through 2100Z, Sunday July 16.

Good luck! 73!
