The subject at hand is the use of a "call freq." durring a contest.

Lets not get on a soapbox about emergency communication. What we are talking about is the use of SSB call freq. on a simlple weekend contest that happens 3 or so times a year. 

In the event of a comercial/govermental communications break down who the heck would operate a contest? I can't imagin anyone in this group operating a contest durring a natural or other type disaster.

Not only put a kabosh on the idea of restricting the ssb call freq. but open up 146.520 for contests.
