Medium range weather forecasts call for a cooler, perhaps wet, weekend.
Bad for tropo, but perhaps 6m will perk along, and last year we had that
surprise aurora, so one can never tell. The W0ZQ/R roverlite mobile
will be out and about both days on a casual rove. I will not be operating
on as tight a schedule as I have for other contests. My primary "hang"
freq will be 144.170, with planned excursions up & down the band looking
for others. I will have all bands from 6m through 10 GHz along for the
ride and I am looking forward to working everyone !
I plan to activate the following eight girds: EN23, 24, 25, 33, 34, 35, 43
and 44. Here is the order (times are local):
Saturday
EN35 1:00 to 3:00 pm
EN25 3:00 to 5:00 pm
EN24 5:00 to 7:00 pm
EN34 7:00 to 9:00 pm
Sunday
EN34 Driving to grid corner area in morning.
EN44 8:30 to 10:00 am
EN43 10:00 to Noon
EN33 Noon to 3:30 pm (and driving from one grid corner to the next)
EN23 3:30 to 6:00 pm
EN24 6:00 to 8:00 pm
EN34 8:00 & driving home
PS: If we get a good 6m band opening, end your 6m contest QSO with a "see
you at Central States" comment !
