[NLRS] Fun evening on the microwaves

It sounds like I been missing out on a lot of fun here with the rainscatter.
I have been spending a lot of time on our clubs big dish project:

We are now able to position the dish manually and work still continues on
the computer control electronics. The next big work party should see a lot
of progress on our ongoing issue with cable raceways and clean up work in
the elevation enclosure. There is not a lot of room inside that enclosure
which makes things a little tough.
We had a meeting of the minds two weeks ago ( before the heat ) to consider
different feed systems and soon will be working in that direction. We will
of course provide feeds first for the bands that we now have equipment for,
namely: 6 meters, 2 meters, 432, and 10 ghz. ( Yes! We know that six and two
will be marginal but we have stuff to use and with digital techniques we
want to try it all). We have a line on a 1296 transverter which will come
from Texas. If we get it then the push will be on for that band as well. So
hopefully this update will be well received in the NLRS arena with high
hopes of making some noise before the snow flies... 73, Al - w0puf
