Well folks,
This was an interesting day on Sat. I almost never
went out Rovering as I did not have anything
configured the way I wanted. I happened to go running
the Grocery store and worked six and local 2Meter
while driving across town....long story short, I
almost literally threw everything in the car so it
didn't move while driving, and worked pages...yes
pages of Q's (Manually logging...heads up CT...this
contest needs to be recognized). I only got to run 2
grids as halfway through EN45, a gust of wind took the
tripod over and toasted the 6 meter 2-element...so
rovered back home to fix it and found 2 meters open,
so I ran portable stuff at home to do 2 and 6 for a
while. I need sleep, but I will probably go out to
EN35 and EN34 tomorrow if the bands are booming
again...as well as EN44. Gas quantity prohibits any
further. the points for 35 and 34 should be along the
line of North/South grid division near the $%/$$ East
West Division...Right around hwy 128 West of Knapp
Hill area.
I modulate, therefore I am!
...73, and all that jazz,
Dave...N9TTX
