[NLRS] VHF/UHF "definitions"

Scott (and other NLRSers),

While this CQ Magazine "sponsored" contest IS "VHF"...it is ALSO "WW" for
Worldwide and, outside of ITU/IARU "Region 2", there is no amateur radio
allocation at 222-225 MHz (a primary factor in why it is hard to find "name
brand" equipment with 222 MHz "narrow-band" capability). SO it's "just" 50
and 144 MHz.

You are correct about VHF being "ending" at 300 MHz and UHF "starting" at
300 MHz, BUT...UHF then ENDS at 3000 MHz/3 GHz, so, if ARRL held "strictly"
to that definition of "UHF" for their Contest, that would ALSO exclude 3.4
GHz and up.

So...maybe not the "best" for "semantics" or "accuracy" but it works.

I most likely will not be on, but if I do, it'll likely be a little on
Sunday afternoon. Now...

Dumb question:

If it is a VHF contest, why is 222 excluded and why does ARRL include
222 in its UHF contest.

Maybe I'm way too "20th Century", but VHF used to end at 300 MHz and UHF
started there. What gives?
