Our next breakfast is this Saturday, July 8, at the Old Country Buffet in
Richfield. Formal kick off time is 8:30 am, although the troops start to
arrive as early as 8:15.

Club Odds & Ends:
1. Per KM0T's earlier email, if you have any pictures that you want to
share with others at the NLRS sponsored CSVHFS hospitality suite, please
bring them to breakfast this Sat via CD to hand over to Dave, N0KP. If
you can not make breakfast, you can mail a CD directly to Mike, KM0T, but
please make sure to get it into the mail no later than this weekend.
2. The UHF contest is August 4 and 5th. Please remember that this
contest is just 24 hrs long .... if you plan to get on Sunday evening to
make a few contact, YOU WILL HAVE MISSED IT. NOW is a good time to
make sure your 222 and up stuff is working or to add a new band. W0ZQ/R
will be out and about playing. Anyone else gonna come out and play ?
3. The first weekend of the 10 GHz & Up contest is August 19. How are
those 8 watt amp projects coming along ? I don't think we have had much
discussion around our strategy for this year. Breakfast is a good time
to yack it up.
4. Looking down the road a little farther, the ARRL September contest is
Sept 9 & 10.
5. Unless you have been living under a rock, you know that the CSVHFS
Conference will be at the Ramada MOA July 28 & 29. Registration is $40
UNTIL July 13 when it jumps to $45 (late registration). This price is
very much in-line with other conference fee's, plus you do receive a
Proceedings. With the conference in our own back yard, this is a rare
opportunity for YOU, yes YOU, to experience a weak signal VHF conference
without travel. If you decide to pass this by, I don't want to hear any
"gosh, I've never been to a conference before" comments as THIS is as
accessible a conference as its going to get. (OK - off my soap box).
You can download the conference registration form at
http://www.csvhfs.org/conf-06/reginfo.html . Fill it out and send it in
to Jim, K0KFC as directed by the form. If you have ANY questions, ANY
whatsoever, about the conference, ask.
6. A reminder regarding the June VHF Contest - you have until July 12 to
get you logs in. If you are a NLRS member, and have indicated another
club or no club affiliation, you CAN resubmit your log and indicate NLRS
(or any other club for that matter). The robot will take your most recent
submission (ie; it writes over the older submission). It great that our
NLRS membership is a diverse group .... I myself submit HF contesting
scores for the Minnesota Wireless Association (MWA), but if you are a NLRS
club member, if you have generated a VHF contest log, the club appreciates
your support by listing NLRS on your log. Here is a listing of club
members who have sent in their logs indicating NLRS:
